How to edit a PDF
- Drop your PDF above.
- Click the text you want to change and type. Use the top bar for size, bold, italic and colour.
- Use Add text for new text and White-out to hide anything.
- Press Download PDF.
When you click a line, Aivdo shows which font it uses and whether your edit can use that exact font. PDFs often carry only the letters they already use, so for new letters Aivdo switches to a look-alike with the same letter widths (for example Carlito for Calibri, or Liberation Sans for Arial). For a perfect match, upload the original font file or, in Chrome and Edge, pick it from the fonts installed on your computer.
FAQ
How do I edit text in a PDF?
Open the PDF, click the line you want to change and type. Use the bar at the top to change size, bold, italic or colour, then press Download PDF.
Will my edits use the same font?
Aivdo reads the fonts inside your PDF. If the PDF contains the full font, your new text uses exactly that font. If it only contains some letters, Aivdo uses a look-alike with the same letter widths, and you can upload the original font file in one click.
A font is missing. What do I do?
Click the font name in the top bar and choose Upload font file (.ttf or .otf). In Chrome and Edge you can also choose Find on this computer to use a font that is already installed.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Editing happens in your browser, so your PDF and any font you add never leave your device.
Can I edit scanned PDFs?
A scanned page is a photo, so there is no text to click. You can still hide parts with White-out and type new text on top.
Can I edit password-protected PDFs?
Remove the password first, then open the PDF here.
